About Us

The three directors of the Sheffield Brewery Company have a diverse range of backgrounds which will collectively contribute significantly to the eventual success of the project.

Dr Tim Stillman ("Tim") has a PhD in biochemistry and has been full-mash brewing a variety of real ales and lagers for over 20 years. In addition he has assisted the head brewers at Port Mahon and Wentworth Breweries and completed an intensive commercial brewing course at Moonstone Brewery. Extensive contacts in local retail trade arise from long-standing CAMRA committee membership and the production of ‘The Real Ale Guide to Sheffield’, and additionally an in depth knowledge of the local market and the preferences of potential clients.

The second director, Mr Eddy Munnelly ("Eddy") has been in the on-sales business for 11 years. Initially he was employed as a manager of real ale public houses in a variety of locations by Morrissey Inns. These were businesses in decline and he was employed by the Group to turn them around, a task which he successfully completed. Seven years ago he bought his own licensed premises, which he has developed into a successful, award-winning, real ale establishment.

The third director, Mr Peter Rawlinson ("Pete"), is a partner at Wake Smith solicitors and specialises in commercial work with considerable experience in advising SMEs and guiding them through the required legal and commercial processes.

All three also have a wide and diverse circle of contacts and friends who not only like the stuff produced by the brewery but are also helping to develop the business. Long may it continue!!.
