Our Brewery

The Sheffield Brewery Company premises form part of the old "Blanco" polish factory now known as The JC Albyn Complex on Burton Road, Neepsend. The site is a wonderful working hive of micro-businesses ranging from metalwork specialists to web designers. The complex is situated in the established Upper Don Valley real ale trail that is internationally renowned within the real ale fraternity for the quality of its fine ales.

Winding its way through the heart of Neepsend is the River Don and there are some very interesting and historically important industrial sites along the river which can be seen from the new riverside path. Kelham Island museum is also just ¼ mile away and offers a great family day out. At the brewery we have details of the Furnace Trail and we are often requested to take part in the Heritage Days Out project.

The brewery has been designed and constructed to provide a bar for Brewery Tours and we are taking bookings for brewery tours and parties throughout the year. The bar was recycled from the University of Sheffield's old Ranmoor Halls and we've already had a few weepy eyed alumni lamenting the days they spent propped up at the "old" bar.

The Sheffield Brewery Company attracts social and corporate groups from all walks of life in Sheffield and also from outside the region. Visitors are expertly guided through the brewing process, how to brew a variety of beers, view photographic displays and sample real ales manufactured on the premises served through real hand pulled pumps at the bar. In addition, the subterranean cellar complex houses the chilling rooms and visitors are guided underground to see how the beer is fermented and transferred to the casks ready for delivery.

Eventually we aim to licence the premises to provide a place to come and taste great beers, see local artists work on display, listen to live music and relax.
