When I was in college, living the rock ‘n’ roll dream (or nightmare, depending on how you looked at it), me and my best mate – Russ – would spend lazy, sunny afternoons sat outside a pub in Orchard Square, dreaming of the future, chit-chatting about this and that (mostly hot girls), and drinking copious amounts of real ale.
Fast forward 20 years and it’s hard to believe that I am now brewing a lot of the beer that Vicky and the team pass over the bar where I once perched to order my pints of Moonshine or Barnsley Bitter.
The Museum is a Greene King owned pub offering a warm welcome from afternoon diners after a classic pub meal, casual drinkers reading the paper before going on to the rest of their business; to the usual Saturday night frivolities of stag dos, post-football drinks, and the kind of venue that initially acts meet up point but ends up being the place you stay all night.
The Bar Manager, Vicky, though barely even 30, has ample experience of running and managing pubs, and knows how to serve beers in excellent condition.
If you’re out and about in Sheffield and looking for a place to try our Finely Polished Beers, The Museum is an obvious choice.
